stafford lake field trip reflection
1. The ecological problems with the stream at Stafford lake it that there are a lot of weeds and non native plants over taking the native plants, the weeds take the water and nutrients from the stream and leave nothing else for the other plants.
2. The components of the project is to eliminate those types of plants and weeds and let native plants grow and flourish.
3. I worked on putting hay, cardboard and mulch on the ground as a barrier so the weeds don't sprout up right where we placed the hay, cardboard and mulch.
4. Yes, we helped with pest management by placing the hay and cardboard down so the weeds don't decide to grow there.
5. The trip was fun but I wish that we had more time to do it. there was a lot to do in a little time. Even though there was a lot of people I still think we needed more time. We did very great work and I would like to do something like this again.
